Tools and Hardware Reviews of Culligan ISH-100 Level 2 Inline Shower FilterCustomer Review: Great Filter, Bad Design Summary: 2 Stars
Purchased this and installed easily within a few minutes, but when I turned on the water it leaked out the side spraying water everywhere. This filter does not come with a shower head as shown in the picture, you have to use your old one or buy a new one and screw it on to this unit, which for me was no problem as mine was basically new. I got this shower filter for an extra bathroom that doesn't get alot of use and thought I would save a few bucks from the Culligan model WSH-C125 that I purchased before and have had no problems with. Alot of reviewers have had no problems with this unit but some reviewers have, so order at your own risk. I now have returned this unit and purchased another Culligan WSH-C125 which both Culligan models ISH-100 and WSH-C125 use the same WHR-140 filter which works fantastic for my well water which is hard. If you get the ISH-100 and it does not leak then you will be very pleased with the results, as for the chlorine or sulfur odor I cannot review this filter as my water has none present, but if you have well water that is hard this filter will make a big difference in your skin and hair, much softer after only the first shower.
Customer Review: Culligan ISH-100 Level 2 Inline Shower Filter Summary: 5 Stars
I wanted to purchase something in the range of 50-60$ but then thought i should get something cheap to start with .Its only been a week since i have it installed but their are two things i did notice.
I don't itch anymore and i am not loosing any more hair (which is really important to me)
Couple of things if you need to take your shower head off don't get a wrench get Plyers with Teeth on them i tried to get 5 different wrenches before i realized i required plyers.
When you tighten your shower head to the filter make sure to be careful its plastic and if you tighten it too much it can break. I just used the plyers twice to tighten the shower head and that was it.
Well hopefully this helps explain my point of view.

Customer Review: Do you want soft, silky hair???!!!!! Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this filter after trying EVERYthing to lessen the drying effects of the nastiest water on earth in Riverside County, CA. I moved here from the East Coast where my hair used to gleam with health and tons of shine. I do also rent a Culligan whole house water filter, so I'm not sure if it's a combination of both but my hair has dramatically improved in just one week of using this filter! It is softer, shinier, and bouncier! I am very happy! I also had no leakage problems as other reviewers have suggested. I hand tightened the unit and used the teflon tape as instructed with no issues. I have used the Paragon water filter in NY and it was great until they changed the formula (it didn't work for me at all in SoCal). The Culligan one is amazing!! I have definitely noticed a difference in my hair!! Love it!! Highly recommend! Thanks Dr. Oz!!!
Customer Review: No more sulfur smell! Summary: 5 Stars
My girlfriend was having really bad allergies and we kind of figured out that whenever she took a hot shower, any nasty stuff in the water was vaporizing and getting into her respiratory system. So we frantically started looking for a decent shower filter.
Although this is only a level 2 filter system (I'd love to have 3 or 4!), any sulfur smell coming from our shower has gone away. For that, we know it's doing something! Her allergies from the shower have also calmed down.
Decent price and it was relatively easy for us to install. I was worried with the comments about leak and such, but honestly, I feel like those people had a messed up faucet, or just flat out did it wrong.
Does not come with a shower head, so make sure you have either a clean one, or (for us) a brand new one (from the hardware store)!
Customer Review: Great Concept but cheap manufacturing Summary: 3 Stars
This is a handy product at a low price from a known name in water filtering. I bought two of them (one for each bathroom). Unfortunately in both cases there is a samll leak coming from the connection between the filter and the shower pipe. And yes I followed the instructions and did use the enclosed plumber tape in 3 layers. At this time the leak is small and towards the wall so it's not bothering me too much.
The other problem is that the filter rotates freely and easily, so if you use a removable shower head it will rotate with its own weight and the water will be spraying in the wrong direction! I am not sure what's the point of this loose design. I ended up rotating it so the heavy part of the filter (globe) is down, this made it stay in place, but it is a fragile arrangment.
Other than that, I like it!
