Customer Review: Gets rid of that heavy chlorine smell

The chlorine smell in the water at my house was overpowering. The bathroom area stunk like chlorine for hours after any shower, and the hard water was... well hard.
This helped with both - the chlorine smell is non-existent and the water is much softer (which makes rinsing soap off much easier).
The only real drawbacks are: It's ugly... really it's not very attractive at all.... and it severely limits the movements you can make with the head due to it's shape.
One other side note - while I wouldn't call it delicate - you do have to use some care when adjusting your shower head - as you could break the plastic if not careful. A metal version would probably be sturdy and better looking.

This product has a defect. The metal piece that screws into the shower pipe is not stationary. The filter swivels around so the showerhead won't stay in place. I received a replacement filter and the same problem occurred. Water sprayed everywhere. I contacted Culligan direct and the CSR told me to remove the rubber seal inside the metal screw cap. I did that and water still sprayed everywhere and the filter continued swivel. I called back and the CSR said that anyone else who had the problem was able to remedy it by taking out the rubber seal. Now I have two worthless filters sitting in my garage. Good thing I was able to find the old model in a store in town. I'll be looking for a different brand filter.Customer Review: Ughhh

I'm having the same problem as two other reviewers who reported the issue with the loose metal mount joint. Both units I received exhibited this problem and Culligan support said the same thing about removing the rubber gasket. I tried these things and neither worked. I didn't want to go any further so I just issued a RMA/Return to get my money back. It's not worth the time and effort to try to fix this brand new broken item. I have an inline faucet filter for drinking water by Culligan and that works just fine. It seems their QA process is very inconsistent. Not at all happy with this purchase. I'm going to be a bit more wary buying any Culligan products in the future.Customer Review: Amazing Product

This was the best $17.00 I've ever spent. Due to hard water issues, my hair had become dry and tangled, and I was constantly getting small rashes because my skin had lost all its moisture. I didn't know why, until a friend told me it was probably because of chlorine in my water. When I ordered the filter I was a bit skeptical. I'd been spending a lot of money on expensive conditioners and lotions with no results. Therefore, I didn't see how such an affordable product could make a difference. Well, it did. Immediately, my hair regained its luster and shine. My skin has become as soft as it was when I was sixteen. I don't even need lotion anymore. Living in California (Chino) we have VERY hard water here. Alot of chlorine from what I hear. I wanted a whole house water softner but it just seem to be to much of a pain. After doing some research I found this Culligan shower filter.. it seemed almost to good to be true but sure enough it works. I noticed right after the first shower my skin wasn't as dry and flakey. So if you live in socal and have dry skin this will help. Easy to install make sure you use the tape provided in package so it doesn't leak as some reviews stated. Also take out the little regulator so it doesnt change your water presure.. enjoy your soft water showers!
