This is my second shower filter that I have purchased. It however is the first culligan shower filter that I have used and I wouldn't purchase another brand. The filter was very easy to install. Once the filter was installed I noticed right away that the chlorine smell and fell was gone. I have pretty strong chlorine in our little towns water system.
I will be purchasing a shower fillter for my guest bath now and replacement fillters for the both of them.

In order for this to work properly and not leak or drip any water was to install it just like it looks in the picture (with the filter part above instead of to the side or below). After a couple weeks an extremely slow drip developed, but was solved by tightening the connection to the pipe.
I think the only reason that we had any issues at all is because we have such a heavy large rain shower head that includes the detachable hand held sprayer.

First off, the great thing about this product is that it doesn't require you to get a new shower head. It incorporates your existing shower head. The chlorine smell is definitely gone and I feel good knowing my skin is not being attacked my harsh minerals and chemicals. The two complaints I have is that it doesn't purify your water like brita or zerowater and out of the three I bought, one of them lets water leak through. This is far and above the best best filtering system. Since we live in Texas I am sure our water is not tested by the EPA for safe chlorine amounts but before installing this head you would think you were bathing in a vat of chlorine afterwards no chorine smell at all. Under standard use it is recommended you replace the filter every 6 months but I think I will have to do it every 4 months. My husband installed the filter in about 10-15 minutes. We have a double head shower in our 35 year old condo. Since it is a bit heavier, which just means we needed to tighten it. We have highly chlorinated water. We've had it for 2 months and we are happy with it. It definitely removes the smell and amount of chlorine. It was about a week before we stopped scratching. It looks like the filters will be easy to change as well.
