Easy to change filter and water that tastes good are my criteria. To that I would add compact size. I use this in my RV, and the RV filter pack came with the level 4 filter which is much more rotund in size. It might do a more thorough job in filtering some things, but not that I can tell. This filer is half the price & lasts a full season. We use either city water or water in our tanks that has been filtered and re-chlorinated for storage. [1 Tablespoon per 10 gallons.] Works well & makes great tasting coffee & tea.

The Culligan easy change ice maker/drinking water replacement cartridge The filter cartridge has a 6 Months/500 gallons cartridge life. The cartridge features a twist on twist off mechanism, and has quick connect fittings. The cartridge filter reduces bad taste & odor, chlorine taste & odor, sediment, lead, cysts such as cryptosporidium & giardia, turbidity, atrazine, lindane & particulate class I, The cartridge is NSF certified and is the replacement cartridge for IC-EZ-3, US-EZ-3 & RV-EZ-3.
