Tools and Hardware Reviews of Culligan WSH-C125 Wall-Mount 10,000 Gallon Capacity Filtered Showerhead, Chrome FinishCustomer Review: A DEFINITE BUY!! Summary: 5 Stars
After comparing prices and reading most of the reviews here at Amazon, I settled for this product. I was dubious at first because the price was just too good to be true. After receiving the package:
1) It took less than 10 minutes to install [suggestion - you might want to buy extra teflon tape - I screwed up the one that came with the package but that was my fault]
2) Another suggestion - TAKE OFF THE STICKER on the filter - both sides. When I turned on the shower, it wasn't working - oops - duh, take off the sticker....
then...
3) All I can say is WOW! The water pressure significantly improved!!! Don't know why - but it did.
4) After taking about 3 showers, there is an immediate improvement on my hair and skin - - soooo soft.
5) I noticed that there is no more chlorine smell, no water spots, the lather on my soaps/soap lotion had more suds, my skin felt clean and soft.
6) There is indeed a significant difference - I feel rejuvenated every time I shower!
A DEFINITE BUY - GREAT PRODUCT FOR SUCH A LOW PRICE...
I hope they don't discontinue this 'coz I'll need filters -though they last six months!
Customer Review: Best Purchase Ever Summary: 5 Stars
This is, without exaggeration, the best purchase I have ever made. It has a water-saving, 2.5-gallon-per-minute flow, which is both environmentally responsible and economical, combined with excellent water pressure and several powerful spray settings. (I prefer the standard spray setting, though, as the water pressure with some others can be almost too high.) It is well worth the price for these features alone.
The added filtration capability truly makes this an essential purchase, not just a worthwhile one, and it has done wonders for my family's severe itchy skin and my long wavy hair. Skin and scalp problems (dermatitis, pruritus, eczema) that were resistant to any type of treatment, including prescriptions, lessened by approximately 80% after using this showerhead. The need for conditioners and styling aids to manage my long hair also decreased notably.
This is not only a great, money-saving environmental purchase, but a great health and beauty purchase as well, and at such little cost. Furthermore, I installed it easily by myself in about 5 minutes, with only a wrench, and I'm still thrilled with it after 7 months. The best money I ever spent.
Customer Review: Great showerhead; good pressure; easy installation Summary: 4 Stars
I was worried, as I have been with all the showerheads we've been trying lately, that this one might not have a wide enough spray, but it's fine, although the slightest angling of the spray holes outward would have been even better, to widen the spray just a tiny bit more. We went from a Moen one with a very narrow spray, in which you almost had to run around to get completely wet, to a Peerless 76360 5" Brass showerhead that had a wide spray, but with inadequate pressure. I bought the Delta Faucet 75152 for my mom, who tells me "it doesn't have enough holes," which I took to mean it didn't have a fine enough spray pattern. This Culligan one is somewhere in between the Moen and Peerless with the spray diameter, and it also requires less water (I don't have to turn the water up as high). Our water isn't actually too bad right now as far as chlorine goes, as it was a cool summer, so I can't tell much difference in the water quality. Even so, the great pressure makes it the best showerhead we've tried so far. I'm not sure why some users had so much trouble installing this showerhead. It's easy as pie - you just screw it on with a little Teflon tape.
Customer Review: Wasn't what I expected and broke in a month Summary: 2 Stars
After using this shower head for over a month, I certainly feel no difference in the water with a filter on it. We have very hard water here in Arizona, so I thought I would see a difference on my skin or my hair. It's just like having a regular shower head and the water holes already have some calcium build up on them telling me the filter isn't do a whole lot. The biggest problem with the head is that it never really stayed in place when you moved it. A couple of days ago it just flopped down and won't stay in any position. I took it off and there is a plastic white ring that apparently holds the ball of the head in place. It was broken into two pieces and now I either need to take the shower head with me to Ace Hardware or Home Depot and try to find that exact same ring or take the shower head down and toss it. I am a few days beyond my return time to Amazon and it's not worth returning it for partial credit and paying the shipping fees. All in all, I thought this would remedy the hardness/chemical water issues we have in the desert with the fancy dancy filter, but it was not worth the purchase.
Customer Review: works great, best economy filter probably Summary: 4 Stars
so I've had this for almost six months now and it definitely filters out the chlorine in the water. i live in san diego so we have really hard water and high levels of chlorine in our water. with this installed, it makes a huge difference. i can't smell or taste the chlorine, i even poured a glass of water from shower head, chilled it and it tasted like my Pur filtered tap water! The only issue is that after a month i started to lose water pressure as the filter became clogged. i had to take it out and turn flip it and that works for another month or so. now i'm flipping it around once a week now, but it only takes 30 seconds to do. this can be attributed to the hardness of my water clogging it up quickly, so i take that into account. other than than, it works great and i can take a hot steamy shower without inhaling chlorine. for the price, it's worth it, i don't expect much more, if i had the money, i'd try to find one that would last longer. for the money and the quality of the water it puts out, it gets a five star rating, just annoying how fast it clogs, so i had to drop it a star...
