In our new house, the perfect place to put our computer also happened to be over a floor vent. The vent is located near the feet of the person sitting at the computer -- which means its a bit toasty or cool, depending on whether the heat or AC is on. This device (that required no installatation) is great because now we can direct air away from the computer's users feet and back up the wall. Looks exactly like the picture. The magnets are strong and do a good job of keeping the deflector in place on my floor vents. I definitely feel a difference in how the room heats. It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference to my electric bill. I would recommend this product to anyone with floor vents near windows. I don't have ceiling vents so I cannot comment on how well these would work in that application.Customer Review: Just what I was looking for

These turned out to be just what I was looking for. Used them in my finished basement to redicrect the ceiling vents from blowing directly on people. Magnets are plenty strong to hold these to the ceiling vents - either the manufactuer is providing different magnets these days or the people that complained about this issue in earlier reviews inhaled too much from the 20 coats of paint they applied to their vents.Customer Review: Keeps air off my face at night

I really like this product - before air was blowing on my face during the night when the system would come on. So it solved the problem for me.
Installation was a snap - all I had to do was attach the magnets to each side of the ceiling vent.
Plus it's clear so no one can really see it unless they are looking.
I like it.

the concept is great the performance is sub-par. these vents will only stay in place if the vent opening is free of paint. these deflectors will not stay in place with small kids around the house. these deflectors need stronger magnets which will dramaticlly improve their performance. save your money and find a better dealer.
