After watching a home improvement show on television, this handy little device caught my eye. The home owner did not have take away tubes on all of their downspouts, so the home improvement crew put these on each downspout. We all have seen the flexible yet rigid water tubes on downspouts that lay there all the time (eye sore and trip hazard), and most of us have seen the damage to our foundation and landscaping from water rushing out of the downspouts and pooling next to the house. This device fills up, rolls out, and slowly lets the water come out over a larger area of the yard. The really cool part is once the water empties, the device rolls itself up with a metal spring of sorts. The only negative is the rolling action is not always perfect, but does good enough. Also, I got a dark brown to blend into the house and landscpaing. The green color is rather distracting, and I would think it would negatively impact your home value. Overall, a really neat and cool device that actually works as sold!
