Customer Review: Not a good replacement for standard metal faucet knobs

I purchased this kit looking forward to renewing the look of our older shower fixtures. First of all the nut above the compression washer was too loose and had to be tightened significantly to stop the faucets from leaking from the stem. And second, the design of the cross arm handles don't completely cover the white plastic threaded tube between the handle and the flange, which looks quite ugly. It's very disappointing because this product is sold primarily as a replacement for the older style handles (Danco Perfect Match 88444 Replacement Handles For Price Pfister) which cover the gap between the handle and the flange. I would only purchase this kit if you already have the cross-arm handles insalled in your shower. I'm hoping that they sell a shorter cartridge or longer flanges.
