Customer Review: Nice li'l pump

This is a nice little pump, works well and looks good. We originally tried the Danze D495958SS Parma Deck Mount Soap and Lotion Dispenser, Stainless Steel, but it was surprisingly too large and clunky next to our sink. This smaller dispenser did the trick.
A few issues:
* Also ran into the "no washer in the box" issue as others have. The instructions are general ones for all Danze dispensers and shows a washer in the pictures. It is possible this version is not supposed to come with a washer. The rubber washer, in this case, is used between the bottom of your countertop and the plastic screw that secures the dispenser in place. If your countertop bottom is flat enough, a washer may be unnecessary to get the grip it needs to tighten. I used a washer I had laying around from my old dispenser without issue.
* With the Parma model as linked above, there was a rubber part that fit into the dispenser bottom so that the rubber touched the top of the countertop, rather than the steel. Not a big deal, but I would have preferred this to ensure no scratches during installation (didn't have any -- but just liked thought the Parma was better engineered; it also came with that "missing" washer).
* Like the Parma, the top of this dispenser can easily spin when you touch it; it is not fixed in place nor does it have any resistance. This was annoying at first, but it hasn't been a problem in practice. Would have liked to see a little more resistance there to prevent accidental repositioning of the spout when washing dishes.
Overall, I'm quite pleased. The design married good functionality with a clean style -- and, truly, the vast majority of the soap dispenser marketplace is filled with ugly, clunky options. This is not one of them.
