I needed to use the flashlight I keep in my car. It didn't work though I had bought it a couple years ago brand new. Batteries were good, the swith was bad.
So I looked for a good price on a pair of Maglite 2Ds for the cars. This was less expensive by about 50%.
You get what you pay for. They're metal. They're black. They work. They're made in China. They're nowhere near Maglite quality.
Buy the real deal...
At least if some lowlife steals the flashlight from my car I'll be less upset than if I lost a Maglite.

This is a great deal on a 2-pack of flashlights. Mag has become the big brand name in flashlights, but the best quality comes from Streamlight or Pelican. Personally, I just need a few flashlights around the house for when the power goes out, when I let the dog out, when I need to get under the kitchen or bathroom sink, or to have in the car. This set more than satisfies my need and the price can't be beat. In fact, I think I'll buy another pair.Customer Review: Rip Off !!!

I was shocked when i first saw what little light these produce.My $1 key chain light is much much brighter than these. The yellow-brown spotty light that is produced is garbage.DO NOT BUY THESE!!! You will end up writing a review just like mine. It is unbelievable what pieces of junk these are. Not going to return,these go straight to the trash can, and i go straight to a brand that doesn't sell junk.

On the good side, its aluminum. That said, it's about as weak as those 99 cent flashlights you use to see as a kid.
For the money, just buy a cheap plastic flashlight, as this just isn't worth is.

Junk! Put in new batteries, both lights are weak; one has a spot pattern and one is splash pattern [they are supposed to be identical lights!]. Very disappointed that item was promoted by Amazon.
