Tools and Hardware Reviews of Denali 3.6-Volt Lithium-Ion Cordless Screwdriver Kit with Wall-Mountable ChargerCustomer Review: One notch less than useful Summary: 1 Stars
I bought this as a simple tool I could grab when doing small tasks around my house. I've used it for installing shelves mostly, building storage boxes, opening air duct covers, assembling small items. It doesn't have a ton of power to it, which should be obvious. It *barely* gets the mentioned jobs done.
The biggest and most obvious problem is that the bits always come out when I put it in reverse to pull out. The driver bits fall out when I'm finished screwing something in and move to put the drill down. Its really annoying and I spend most of my time trying to find them.
Really a shame.
Customer Review: Does not have enough power. Summary: 2 Stars
It looks very good and the carrying case is well made. It would be a nice tool if the screwdriver has adequate power. First, even when the battery is fully charged you still can not use it for light-duty screw-driving or hole-drilling chores. Second, if you try any drill bit from the accessory kit, you'll find that it is not straight (so it is very difficult to make a hole at the exact spot you want). Also the battery definitely won't hold for over 18 months! Not even 18 days in my case. I ordered this kit 18 months ago and just put it in my garage after using it a couple of times. It is almost useless.
Customer Review: It's kept up it's end of the bargin so far... Summary: 5 Stars
was tired of buying the "B" n decker stuff and looked at other 'reasonable' options, just a household user, enjoy the convenience of these. Came across the Denali, read some reviews, liked the overall look, package and additional goodies, bought two, one for home, one for the cabin. Have used them both since then, again, just usual things. Partner complained while trying to turn 2" screws into a 4x4, I said it's not built for that. I guess you have to know where to draw the line between using this or breaking out the power drill. Will prob. pick up a couple for holiday gifts this year.
Customer Review: Compact and Powerful Summary: 4 Stars
This little cordless screwdriver is so convenient. It comes with a wall-mount storage place to keep the item within easy reach. The number of bits that it comes with are incredible, durable, and will be very useful for all kinds of small repairs around the house. I particularly liked the small size and light weight as I have a bad back and carpal tunnel syndrome, and some of these drill-like cordless screwdrivers are just too heavy to do repairs to ceiling fans, ceiling vents, or anything that you have to do holding the screwdriver over you heard. A good buy.
Customer Review: Acceptable for Light Duty Jobs Summary: 3 Stars
This drill, with accompanying accessories, works fine for VERY small jobs and with soft woods. However, when I used the 1/8" drill bit to create a pilot hole through a thin builder grade hardwood cabinet (to install a button handle) this was almost too much. I see why the 1/8" bit is the biggest one in the kit. After drilling the first two of 15 holes -- took over one minute each -- I brought out more heavy duty artillery. The price for this little drill set is a good deal but don't consider using it for anything more than very light duty projects.
