Customer Review: you get what you pay for

Like many people, only 2 of my 3 lights worked. My gunmetal grey turned on for a minute, then died completely. The problem is not a dead battery -- inserting the same batteries into the other 2 lights works just fine.
Additionally, the rubber on/off nub on the butt of one of the flashlights has a cosmetic defect. It is dented in. The strap is flimsy and ugly, but you can easily replace them, so not much of an issue.
One of my battery cages came w/o any stickers to indicate battery polarity. (The coily springs go on the butt (-) side of the battery. Then the entire battery cage goes (+) side down into the barrel). What is a possible danger is the front rim of the tube.
The tube is not very thick, and it's all hard edges, offering the real possibility of cutting yourself against the rim if you happen to catch it at a wrong angle. It is not rounded and smoothed like the top of a soda can.
All in all, quality control standards are subpar. Light is bright, but Denali is probably not a brand I will buy from again.

I bought 2 sets of these(6 lights) last Christmas, gave 4 away as stocking stuffers and kept two for myself. After 13 months they are all still working, on the original set of batteries, and have held up very well. One has been in the black hole otherwise known as my girlfriend's purse, one in my truck, one three different kitchens' miscellaneous drawers, and one used by friend at work in a bar/restaurant. Four of the six lights are used 3-5 days per week and my girlfriend uses hers all the time.
These have outlived a couple "big box hardware store's" $8ea lights which their switches and lenses broke/came lose making the lights non-functional.
The beam on these lights is pretty wide and bright but doesn't go too far, but that is in comparison to my $65 Surefire light. I am genuinely impressed with the build quality of these in expensive lights. I like them so much that I'm buying a few more right now to replace those crappy hardware store lights!

I just got my 3 pack of Denali 9 LED Flashlights and am very impressed with the construction, brightness, and size of these babies! I am going to order another 3-pack so that I can have one in my toolbox, glove compartment, each of our nightstands, and drop one in my wife's purse as well. Their compact size and great price make this purchase a no-brainer.
I should mention that they feel great in my hand and appear to be well constructed....but a word of caution, after you load the batteries don't point the light towards your face (or anyone else's for that matter) - the light is BRIGHT and will leave you seeing spots for a while.
I would've given it 5 stars but I reserve those for well-known brands that have earned my trust. Who knows...based on this purchase Denali may be a 5 star brand after all!

I bought this because I thought having a set of three compact flashlights around the house, in the car, for traveling, etc would be a good idea. Unfortunately, when I received this, the first thing I noticed was that I received two silver & one black. I didn't receive the gunmetal, which I think is the most attractive color. However, that wasn't a dealbreaker. I started putting the batteries in each. The first (black) worked fine. The second also functioned properly. The third did not turn on. I tried swapping out both the battery pack and the end piece. No dice. It is definitely the main part. So, back to amazon the whole package goes. I would try again, but after reading the reviews, I would hesitate to purchase any of these flashlights again. The Denali 3 pack was a total impulse buy to avoid shipping charges and I have been extremely happy I went for it. The small flashlights are light enough that I keep one in my coat pocket and my wife keeps one in her purse and one in the car. They take up almost no space and provide amazing light! I am somewhat of a flashlight fanatic and typically invest in high end lights and have many Surefire and Streamlight's in my collection. I can't speak to the longevity of the product but the construction is fair and the light output can't be beat for the $4 these babies go for. If you are considerring a decent little flashlight for occasional use I would highly recommend these little bad boys! Don't need three give one to a friend or family member, your relationship will be illuminated!
