Customer Review: Buyer beware: inconsistent quality

I purchased two sets of these. First set, one of the lights had some external damage but all of the lights worked. Second set, only 2 of 3 lights is functional. I now have a spare battery pack and screw-end, but the light unit on the third is nonfunctional. Not bad for the sale price, but having counted on SIX lights as gifts I was extremely disappointed to only have FIVE functional ones. Based on a sampling of the other reviews, this is par for Denali and I should be grateful to get that many to work. However, the functional lights are awesome: extremely bright, handy, lightweight but bulky enough to fit in a mittened hand.Customer Review: great little lights... when they work. >:|

two of them work pretty well.
the third - not at all. i got it to light up very very briefly, and it was very dim. Tried it with new batteries, and assorted swapping of parts, and while it will flash bright, it would not stay on or bright.
The ones that work, are impressively bright for their size.
Overall, however - I am unhappy with the product. the electrical connections are flimsy, and frankly.. you shouldn't have to be a handyman to get a flashlight to work. I didn't order 2 with a broken one thrown in free - i ordered three.

Just got these delivered, and all three worked. I guess I must be one of the lucky buyers on Amazon as many indicated not all worked. They are small but feel robust. Very bright for its size. Any brighter and we'll have a mini light-saber! 9 AAA batteries are included. Each light, with 3 AAA batteries installed, weighs 2.8oz on my mail scale. It's not super light for it's size, but it's lightweight enough for 5 year old kid to hold it steady for a long time.
So it's 5 stars out of the box. Wouldn't hesitate to drop stars if any failed along the way.

I couldn't have been too surprised by the other reviews I read for this flashlight. However, I have some similar units and they seem to work pretty well. I bought nine of them in anticipation that one or more would not work. After putting batteries in them and firing them up, they ALL worked - much to my surprise. However, after VERY little use, two of them began exhibiting the symptoms others described in their reviews. Sometimes they work; sometimes they don't. No matter since I don't plan to rely on them and they're going to be used only now-and-then, anyway.Customer Review: 2 out of 3 Aint Bad

I had to mix and match parts to get two of the three lights to work. One of the on/off switches didn't work, one of the battery compartments was missing a spring to hold the battery in place and one put out only a little light even after switching parts around. The two lights that do work now, are bright and work well. They are sturdy and fit in the hand well. They are small enough to fit in a pocket when not in use. The strap is useless as I can get only 2 fingers through it and it would be nice to be able to slip it around the wrist to prevent dropping.
