Designers Edge L-949 10 LED Rechargeable Solar Panel Shed Light ModelI was looking for non-electrical lights for the outdoor shower at my house at the Jersey Shore. I found these units on Amazon.com and purchased two of them. I installed them both in the shower in about 30 minutes and installation was easy. 10 Leds do not provide much light during the daytime, but do provide adequate light when showering at night. I purchased this light to put in our outhouse at camp in Upper Michigan.
We do not have electricity at camp and I thought this would be worth a try to get some light. Installed it this summer and it has been working fine since then. On the low setting , 5 LED's, it gives off enough light to take care of business and even read by. The high setting, 10 LED, is better to read by and plently light to light up the outhouse. I was so pleased with how it work I purchased a second on for the storage shed.

Even in Maine, where this little sun in the winter, this works wonderfully. Bought it because of security concerns; appreciate it now because it lights the way for us when we come home after dark. simple to set up, long cord so you can position collector to face sun but put light where you want it. And it is all solar powered. Remember that it is LED lighting so it is not a strong light. Just enough to light your way or intimidate someone who is not supposed to be there.Customer Review: I must have got a bad one...

I tested this in my small 5x8' shed at night. The light barely illuminated the interior of the shed. I would compare it candlelight actually. The 90 degree plug on the one end on the cord is also a bad idea as you have to drill a 1/2" hole to pass the wire from the outside to the inside. Had it been a straight connection, only a very tiny hole would have had to be drilled. The instructions, as others have said, are poor. Not worth the price so it went back to Amazon.Customer Review: Great little solar light

Designers Edge L-949 10 LED Rechargeable Solar Panel Shed Light Model
This is a great little solar light for lighting a shed or garage for short visits. I turn mine on when I leave for a few hours and it gives me light for when I return. It won't stay on all night, but it's good for what it was designed for. I'm going to get a couple more.
