Great product. extremely happy. Puts off lots of heat, warms entire room. Has automatic shut off if gets too hot. Flames look real and logs glow. You actually forget it is not a real fire sometimes. Amazon great to deal with. Shipped fast, and delivered on a Sunday, even with free super saver shipping. I guess I bought this without thinking about the large space that I wanted to heat. Our basement freezes in the winter, so after reading the reviews here I bought this heater. It is amazingly lifelike and I enjoy watching it, however it does not do what I need it to. It blows out a little heat, and I could see it being fine for a small room, but not for what I wanted it for. I guess I will have to go with a stand up more forceful unit.Customer Review: sounds like a washing machine

It looks great -- one of the best fire optical illusions I've seen. Heats the room well, too.
But it's so noisy I think I'll have to return it. I'm giving myself the weekend to see if I get accustomed to the noise, but it actually is more noisy than my (extra quiet) washing machine.
It's possible that I got a lemon and just need to replace it. Hope so, because it adds a nice cozy ambiance to the room.

We purchased this stove for our cool and drafty San Francisco living room (15' x 15'). I can't imagine a nicer room heater for the price. The stove is stylish, and the 3D flames almost look real ! Granted, this is not a real wood fireplace, but it is a great alternative. I like that you can turn on the flames without the heat. The heat is warm enough for the room. The product itself is really pretty. However, it didn't have the front door like my mom's nor does it have the turbo blower like my mom's. The door was a purely aesthetic desire on my behalf. However, the lack of the turbo blower does make a difference in how quickly the device warms a room. Still, overall, it has served its general purpose for me quite well. I will make it a point to look for more specifics next time though.
