I just ordered this for my five year old daughter, and she was so excited. It requires supervision, as a response to the person who said the hammer is too sharp. What a great experience for a child to get real tools, and learn to use them safely and appropriately! She has shown such determination in learning to hammer and screw in screws, she even wanted to take all the screws out of the practice board so she could reuse them another time! The suspenders are a bit small for her, and she's younger than the recommended age, though she loves to wear them and the goggles and gloves when she's doing her work, so I may have to find her another set of those for when she gets just a little bigger. But if you are looking for a quality tool set that is sized just right for the beginner child in your life, this is definitely a great set. The level and measuring tape are also very educational. The flashlight makes a nice addition, too! She likes to pretend she is camping with the lights out in her room at night, and it helps her fall asleep!
