Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fruit Picker, FRUIT PICKER BASKETCustomer Review: Picking a fruit picker Summary: 5 Stars
I grew up on land that had been an apple orchard and there were loads of old gnarly apple trees on the property. My father had an apple picker - not sure where he found it - that could be used to pick apples high up on the trees. Now that some of the trees I planted years ago have grown large, I too needed an apple picker. The one I found on Amazon.com is just like my father's and works just great. No moving parts, no batteries - just a simple basket and some foam padding so you can grab the fruit, gently pull it, and it falls into the basket. I love it, and anticipate no problems.
Customer Review: Great Product, Great Price Summary: 5 Stars
This product works well for fruit that just needs a little nudge when its ripe and ready to pick. It does not come with a handle, but I already had an extension pole for a paint roller that serves the purpose, and this picker is priced at a fraction of what it costs to buy a picker from the hardware store that already has the pole. I did have to make a minor modification. I clamped on a portion of a plastic handle from a paint roller so I can screw on the extension pole. It works great. I bought a second one for my son, and I got a break on the shipping.
Customer Review: Simplicity at it's best...... Summary: 5 Stars
This device did just what we needed it to do. After looking for the "Fruit Picker" at Home Depot and Lowes I expanded my search to the internet. I should have thought about looking for it on Amazon.com to start with. Not only did it come up with exactly what I was looking for, the transaction and shipping could not have been any smoother than picking it up at the store. The item was carefully packed and came in perfect condition.
Customer Review: fruit picker Summary: 5 Stars
I have a small pick-your-own apple orchard, and by attaching these pickers to 6 ft.pcv poles most people can reach even the highest and hardest to get fruit. Children love to use them. At the end of the season I attach some of them to 12 ft. poles. The only downside is that after 3-4 years the plastic coating wears off and they can rust. I painted those that did. I have been using fruit pickers for many years.
Customer Review: Fantastic fruit picker Summary: 5 Stars
I have been looking for a fruit picker like this for so long. I am just so thankful I finally found it. It is just great for picking fruit from my pear trees. I am now able to get the pears before the squirrels, birds, and possums and I can take the fruit picker off of the pole and store it for next year. I urge everyone to get a couple of them to pick fruit. This is a great invention!!!!
