Get this product !! Bought it at the local Home Depot. Mounted the unit under a cabinet facing into the family room. Works like a charm, every time. I Don't know what problem others seem to have with siren alarm, it is LOUD. Nobody I know would laugh at the sound level,they would cover their ears! The complaint in another post about the blinking red light that could be seen by intruders was easily fixed. Put a small piece of black electrical tape over the small light. The light seems to be an arming light that goes out when unit is ready. The sensor triggers at 15 feet and at distances less. No alarm will please everyone but this inexpensive unit pleases me. I will buy another for another area of the house. Just remember to turn the unit on when you shut down your room down for the night. Only the dog would be better at sounding an alarm.

Using Passive Infrared (PIR) technology, this alarm unit can designate a protected zone up to 15 feet in a 90 degree sweep from the device.
