I bought this from [...] because it was on sale for cheaper than on amazon. the funny thing was, if i had bought it from the sears store it would have cost $30 more than ordering online and picking it up at the store.
this is a really bright flashlight. The handle is skinny but it fits my hand well. it is also very light for a flashlight of this size. i took it camping and it lite everything up. I could see the top of trees and even across a field that we use to play football. at mightn you can actually see the beam of light coming out of this thing. I ran it on/off for over an hour and it's still pretty bright. it didn't run hot or anything at all. i leave it on inside my house at night to test and it lit up the whole room. when i bought it brand new, it was already fully charged and i haven't had to charge it yet. it's already been a month now and the batteries don't need to be charged yet. I would definitely buy this light again, maybe everyone will get a flashlight for christmas this year.

Bought this light after much searching and comparing amongst other LED rechargeables. I must say that I am very pleased. The flashlight is extremely bright - certainly more than enough for my round-the-house, round-the-car needs. It is also lite and quite sturdy. Charge quality is very good. I let it charge overnight once and it is still going strong after several months of occasional household use with no noticable drop in brightness. The flashlight comes with two chargers, one for the car and one for the house. Both plug into a small headphone jack-sized port. This port is hidden under an aluminum collar just below the activation switch. This collar can be unscrewed, moving about an inch down the body of the light, revealing the receptacle. From there, you plug and are good to go. I am already pondering a second one of these for the upstairs - maybe another for the car. Good LED light for the money. Charge lasts a long while yet the full brightness declines quickly. Great for around the house or in the garage. Not really a TAC light as it's larger than most I've had with no carry clip. WIth the accompanied accessories and the brightness of the light - you will not be disappointed. I also use it as a lantern light as well. Turn it on, stand it up and the whole room is lit for low light activity. It would be great for a tent or other camping activities. I tested it to see how long it would last: turned it on, sat it in the garage overnight and the next morning it was still lit. Albeit dimmed, I was impressed it was still kicking along. The fact that expensive batteries aren't required is a big plus in my book. Anyway, if you're looking for a good LED light for around the house and general activities, you can't go wrong here. Dorcy was smart in there design, as it looks like it takes advantage of the upper end of a parabolic curve to get a tight long throw of a focused beam, combined with the K2 Luxeon at 220-Lumens that gives you the power to light the night with great distance.
I find the fit in your hand is great! and the knurling makes it easy to hold on to, It has a quick threaded cover for the jack that is used to re-charge your flashlight, thus keeping dirt and debris out.
When shopping for a LED flashlight it was important to me to get allot of lumens for a good price! - as far as I see it Dorcy fits the bill better than anyone else :)
Comes with 120v plug in charger that is small and light, plus a 12VDC. aux. plug adapter for on the go.

I bought this flashlight about 3 months ago as a cheap replacement for my mag light rechargeable duty flashlight. I knew it was not designed to be used as a police light, but the claim of the bright lifetime use led bulb and rechargeable battery was worth the try for the price which is about 60% cheaper and much smaller than my old mag light. I must say I have been very impressed with the bright LED bulb and light quality. This light is great for all facets of police work, searching cars, houses, and dark areas plus it is compact enough to store in your pocket if you do not have appriopriate holster. Many of my co-workers have decided to purchase this flashlight because they are so impressed with how bright it is and the stream quality. Cant go wrong, great buy!
