These are NOT like cheapy department store pillows. I have severe neck problems and these have been a life saver. So much so that my mom and my best friend also came and bought them.
Ignorance is bliss if you think that they are filled with actual 'gel', they're poly-gel substitute for down. I have a very high end down filled pillow and these are comparable. I just came back to get some more, I am replacing all of my pillows with these.

I ordered these pillows after another gel filled pillow that I had finally had to be discarded. That pillow was wonderful, but the outlet that sold it went out of business. I was expecting a wonderfully soft, cushy pillow; instead, I received two pillows that are very, very firm. They don't provided any 'cushioning' of my head. It's like sleeping on a folded up blanket. I am very disappointed with these pillows and regret purchasing them.Customer Review: Best Pillow in my 50+ years!

I thought the pillows would be heavy (100% gel filled), but they are not. My adult children have all bought them now. After sleeping with this pillow for 3 or 4 days, my husband actually thanked me for the pillow. He likes a firmer pillow, and I like a softer one that I can scruntch up to fit my neck and head, but with this pillow I do not have to! It is wonderful! Don't let the "gel" fool you. There is NO gel, "gel fiber" means 100% polyester AND not much of it, so it's too soft and too flat. I bought the King size and both pillows fit into one pillow case! You are not getting a good deal! You are paying $20 for 1 pillow in two pillow cases. I really don't understand how so many people think this pillow deserves 4 or 5 stars, unless they used to put more polyester filling than they do now.Customer Review: So soft

I normally like really firm pillows but I got these for "cuddle" pillows because I like to sleep holding a pillow. They seemed like they almost might be too soft but once they get out of the box and some air to them they are surprisingly firm/fluffy. They are perfect for cuddling. I don't know if I'd like using them for my head, but I still like them and might consider trying them for a night just to see how it works out.
