I paid less than five bucks for this item, so I knew I wasn't buying quality. I pretty much only bought it for use in wood, and then only sparingly. Quality TiN coated bits are pretty expensive, and the problem with them is that once sharpened the TiN coating on the tip (where all the cutting is done and where the coating is needed) is gone, and all the benefits of it are gone too. The case for these drills is rather shabby, and the drills themselves are made in China. If you purchase this item, do so with the caveat that trying to use them to drill metal or in any sort of "heavy duty" application will result in frustration and disappointment.
