Tools and Hardware Reviews of Duck Brand 1299529 Indoor 5-Window Shrink Film Kit, 62-by-210-InchCustomer Review: horrible Summary: 1 Stars
Not as simple as they make it sound! Trying to cut flimsy plastic that comes in a folded mess of 62" x "210 is not exactly simple. Taking mine back to the "Wal" store I got it at and will shop elswhere. After I finally got a sheet cut it pulled away from the tape after 1 week! HORRIBLE PRODUCT. Don't waste your time, spend a little more and get a quality product!
Customer Review: Does Not Work as Advertised Summary: 1 Stars
The plastic is too thin and the double sided tape does not hold. After a couple of weeks I had to go back and re-tape over half the edges with packing tape. I had to take it down from one window and just put up regular plastic sheeting and taped it up with packing tape. I would not recommend this to anyone. A waste of money.
Customer Review: all my windows lost their seal Summary: 1 Stars
This product is worthless-all of the windows lost their seal in less than 2 weeks. I cleaned the area really well before applying too. I got a kit at Walmart for $10. I used a more expensive product last year and none of the windows lost their seal-I think it was 3M from Lowes. I am so mad I have to rebuy and redo this!
Customer Review: We've had better Summary: 1 Stars
My apartment uses plastic shrink film to coat our windows every winter. This is the first time we used the Duck brand... and probably the last. For several of our windows, the plastic pulled away from the double sided tape after a few weeks, creating freezing drafts. I've never had that problem with other brands.
Customer Review: Reliable Product Summary: 5 Stars
This was easy to setup and works just as good as other popular window kits. I bought 2 5-packs to do all my windows this year, and so far the double sided tape is holding up and the plastic shrink wrap is strong to endure some light abuse of window shades and cats resting against it.
