Tools and Hardware Reviews of Duck Brand 297472 Double Sided Mounting Tabs, 60-Count

Customer Review: Work great with my posters, and manage to stick even where humidity is high - but back tab hard to peel off
Summary: 4 Stars

I've got movie posters from a film series I run all over my office walls. The problem is they keep coming loose, and I have to replace the tape. I can't use push pins, and regular tape just isn't strong enough to secure a heavy, full-sized poster. I've tried packing tape (folded back on itself); I've tried another brand of poster mounts that didn't last. After a few weeks, the edges of my posters started to slide off of my wall. The problem, I think, is that I live in Florida, where the humidity is high and gradually the glue stops sticking. These tabs, however, seem to do the trick and keep the stick.

The only thing that bugs me is it's a real pain to remove the wax paper covering on the back side. I found it next to impossible to remove them with my fingers - and ended up using a letter opener, but I imagine someone with fingernails could do as well.

Customer Review: Extremely low profile, strong mounting tabs
Summary: 5 Stars

The only downside of these tabs, as some other reviews have noted, is that the backing strips can be a real pain to remove.

That's a minor downside, however, given all the other positives. These mounting tabs are very strong and should be more than sufficient, so long as you follow the weight instructions (2 lbs max, 8 tabs per lb). We've used them to hold up cables too thick or heavy to use Cable-Clip White RG6 (100 pieces per bag), smoke detectors, and anything else that's fairly light but would usually require nails. They're far stronger than double sided tape, and the profile is not a whole lot thicker.

Customer Review: So frustrating
Summary: 1 Stars

To be honest, I really don't know if those tabs are strong or not. The reason is simple, for the last hour and a half, I've been trying to peel the wax paper from the back of the tabs without success.

Either the tabs separate in two, or the wax separate from the paper, but it does not separate from the glue. I don't know if this is due to the store storage or transport temperature or whatever, but this is the first time in my life that I swear at an object and trow it in the garbage screaming at it, that's how bad those tabs got on my nerves.

Scotch tape did the job of holding my sign in 15 seconds. And it cost 1/10 the price.

Customer Review: strongest tape there is
Summary: 5 Stars

well, it's the strongest type of tape there is. It does what it's supposed to do, sticks stuff to things. Foam tape is usually a last resort for things that just wont stay with anything else. The only downside is that if you ever want to remove it it's a pain. But I suppose I'll just deal with it if and when that time comes. They're little tabs about the size of a .....rectangular penny? Yeah I guess that'll do. Maybe a little smaller than the smallest stamp you can think of? Is that good? oh well, they stick, and that's what counts in the end. Use a bunch of them at a time if you'd like to feel safe about it.

Customer Review: Works well!
Summary: 5 Stars

They work well on mounting things on the walls (alphabet charts, posters, etc.), but I was a little shocked that my 11 month old was able to pull of a cord I had mounted! For paper I haven't found anything that works better (even though they do leave a residue). When you try to remove or reposition them, the adhesive stays stuck to the surface. It removes fairly easily with an adhesive remover, but I had to scrub really hard.
