I bought 12 pieces 8"x19" stair treads carpet with traction non slip backing for my hardwood stair, but all pieces keep moving when people walking up and down the stair. Looking around to find solution and give this product a try to see what happen. I was in doubt when applying this product to the back of each piece since the non-adhesive side of the tape wasn't stayed in place to the rugs as you've seen on the product image. However, after few weeks running up and down the stair, all carpet pieces haven't not moved an inch. Great product to solve the problem.
Description of Duck Brand 519244 2-1/2-Inch-by-25-Feet Hold-It for Rugs
Duck Brand Hold-It For Rugs is a patented non-slip latex foam coated with an adhesive backing on one side. It is designed to keep your rigs and mats in place without any floor damage. Hold-It For Rugs is repositionable and works on all types of flooring surfaces including vinyl, tile, hardwood and laminate. Do not use this product if putting a rug or mat down on top of existing carpeting. Since the foam side is going down on top of your flooring (the adhesive side bonds to the rug or mat) it will not leave an adhesive residue behind like some double-sided tapes would. Hold-It For Rugs Installation Directions: The floor surface must be clean and dry. Measure and cut 'Hold-It For Rugs' to fit the outline of the rug or mat being held in place. Remove the release liner from the foam and apply the exposed liner side to the rug or mat. Press rug down firmly in place. Widths shown in dropdown are in inches.The Henkel Duck "Hold-It" for rugs is tape designed to hold rugs and mats in place. Its innovative non-slip technology does not harm floor surfaces. "Hold-It" is both repositionable and removable and leaves no adhesive residue on floor surfaces. The 2.5-inch-by-25-foot tape can be cut to size for maximum holding power; one roll is recommended for mats up to 3-by-5-feet.
