Customer Review: Works well for my pellet stove

I've been using this vacuum to clean my pellet stove for over a month and have been very pleased with the results. The suction is strong (although I'm sure that it would diminish if you had not properly installed the filters). Furthermore, the canister is large enough to hold quite a few ashes.
This vacuum makes quick work of what used to be a time consuming and messy chore.

I have made a lot of bad purchases this year but this one was the worst. This vacuum was designed for pellet stoves not log burners! I have a Hearthstone wood stove and the grates are not that large for ash, yet small pieces of coal end up in the tray and this vacuum keeps clogging on them. I would not recommend this for anyone with a wood burner. If I could send it back - I would.Customer Review: Look Elsewhere!

I purchased this ash vacuum less than one month ago for use with a pellet stove. In that time, and with only light use, the "flexible" hose has cracked, the motor is making a funny noise as it winds down, and the suction is significantly decreased long before the canister needs emptying. I would never buy this again, and would recommend to anyone needing an ash vac to look elswhere.Customer Review: Cougar is the best

The Cougar ash vacuum is exactly what we needed for our pellet stove. It is definitely not too loud as other reviewers have claimed. It also vacuums very easily and quickly. I was using my shop vac to clean out the pellet stove and the filter was constantly clogging up. I have used the Loveless ash vac several times now and it is very efficient. Quiet might be a bit of an overstatement but it gets the job done!
