Tools and Hardware Reviews of All in One Clamp A-50 50-Inch Grip Clamp Guide w/T-track

Customer Review: Not precision, nor square at all. Keep looking.
Summary: 1 Stars

Unless I'm doing something wrong, this clamping guide isn't all it's made out to be.

Here's my story: I already have a very nice table saw that has rails long enough to cut a full sheet of plywood in half, though that doesn't mean it's something that I like to do while I'm alone. That being said, I like to use the circular saw to make the panels more manageable in size before putting them on the table saw. This guide will certainly do this, but don't expect your cuts be to square. I even bought longer 'guide feet' (not sure what to call them), which are supposed to create a larger surface to square against, and this too doesn't really help.

If you're going to use a clamping system you should be able to have precision and accuracy when cutting and this doesn't fulfill the promises of the manufacturer. Good luck.

Customer Review: Needs more
Summary: 3 Stars

I agree with other reviewers who say that this clamp is of little value without the wide jaws attachment. The tool is well designed but with out the wide mouth, it doesn't square up very well.

I agree with others that the wide jaws attachment should not be an option, rather it should be included with the basic tool.

I ordered my clamp by itself and was unhappy with its performance. I went back on-line and then saw the optional wide jaws attachment. I bought it, attached it to the clamp, and now I am happy with the tool.

So if you are considering the purchase of the clamp, figure in the additional cost of the wide jaws before you decide on whether the product has value for you.

Customer Review: Great Clamp
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought the 50" and 24" versions of these clamps. I used them to break down 4x8 sheets of 3/4" MDF with a circular saw for the construction of some base cabinets for my garage. They worked beautifully! I experienced no flexing, and no movement. I really question how hard one is pushing on the edge of the clamp to experience either flex or movement. The only negative comment I have is that the adjustable locking slides could run more smoothly along the rods, and the clamps could have holes down the middle to allow for easy construction of a "shooting board" of sorts. But those are minor issues when compared to the many positives. I plan on buying the 99" version soon. I wholeheartedly recommend these clamps!

Customer Review: All in One Clamp is it worth it?
Summary: 4 Stars

All in One Clamp, is it worth the asking price? I am a finish carpenter by trade and a designer as a pass time. I found this straight edge to be rugged and well made! On the down side I would like too see even less plastic in its design increasing its durabuility. My point on worth, yes to the All in One Clamp A-50-50, but to be honest I truely think their longer models are a bit excessive in price, which is shy-ing me away from a purchase even though I would love their 100" model to do such things as doors where a straight edge cut is crucial. For me the small time operator wanting to purchase the 100" models is equal too affording a Mercedes-Benz, WELL BUILT although exspensive and exclusive!

Customer Review: Just an OK tool.
Summary: 3 Stars

I bought this a while ago and just had a chance to REALLY use it. I don't have the part that connects to the saw I was just using the guide itself. I happy i didn't buy any other parts. This tool is just ok. It is a little cumbersome to use because the clamping mechanism is a little hokey. It doesn't always grab on the holding end. If it gets a little loose the clamping part doesn't clamp enough to take out the slack and get a good grip. I ripped about 15 sheets of plywood and now I'm out here again looking for a better solution. This tool is not terrible but i think it could work a little easier.
