Customer Review: Works well for our alternative need

This works very well for us. We live where there is little snow that doesn't stay more than a day or two, usually, so don't need roof snow de-icing kits for the usual reason. However, we found that they work wonders under trays of seeds for spring planting. We start our seeds on a table with the heated line secured in loops and have germination in 5-7 days. The seedlings grow well in warm soil. For three years we've had only 100 feet of cord and fought over every inch. With this and another order, we now have 400 feet, and things are much better. Try it, it works, and is cheaper than the official gardening grow mats. Probably more reliable too.

ADKS roof and gutter de-icing cables help end costly ice damage by preventing ice dam formation and promoting the free flow of water through gutters and downspouts to ground level. This product is for the sole intended use of preventing ice dams from forming on inclined roofs with tab shingles, in gutters and in downspouts. This roof de-icing cable is not intended for use as a snow-melting system to clear roof of ice and snow. Never install on a flat roof. Never install on combustible materials.
