I did my fair share of research about vacuums after a consumer reports suggested vacuum crapped out after a year. I decided on this Electrolux 7020. I have no complaints at all. The vacuum works wonderful! It is very versitile! It picks up bare floors and carpeting with no problem. I like the On/Off switch on the handle, plus all the controls on the handle. I think I will stay with a canister vacuum from here on out. I've had it for a year and it's been awesome. The bags are more expensive and smaller but they do support hepa filtering. Very clean! Also, I guess there was an update to this model that's why they call it the 7020B. I guess they improved on some issues with the first generation model which was 7020A.Customer Review: LOVE IT!!!

I own a cleaning business and hunted many many vacuums. This one has the BEST suction I have EVER come across!!!! It si absolutely AMAZING! The only downfall is the "floor brush" to attach does not work.. It worked when I first bought it, now it doesnt, this could just be something I am doing wrong (I hope).
But other than that this is my absolute favorite vacuum I have EVER used. Vacuum your carpet with a vacuum you THINK it amazing, then use this Electrolux right after and you can hear all of the firt it is sucking up! Absolutely amazing!
The only other downfall is that it is not bagless.

I have several indoor cats. The vacuum is nice and quiet and doesn't scare them like other vacuums do. However, suction is a bit light and you have to go over a spot several times to pick up everything. The power-head gets jammed with cat hair around the ends of the brush rollers in a very short time and is nearly impossible to clean out. The vacuum is sturdy, but the attachments are cheap and fragile. The bags and filters are easy to change. Overall, it's a very good vacuum, but the poor attachment quality and light suction are soundly defeated by cats. If you deal with pet hair, get a Dirt Devil bag-less upright (at least 12-amp), and a Eureka Power Paw attachment for furniture.Customer Review: WOW am I glad I bought this appliance!

This is a great great vacuum cleaner. I am so glad I bought it. I have 2 hairy hairy dogs in my carpeted bedroom and the power head sucks up all their hair without a hitch. They also have a dog door into the bedroom which brings in dust, etc so the carpet is gettin heavy use AND, the rest of my house is hard wood floors and I can switch over in a second and keep on going. I love that the controls are in the handle, so I can turn it on and off without having to bend over and find a button on the canister. A really great thing, is when you change the vacuum cleaner bag, it has this little panel that slides over the opening so none of the dust can escape. Bought this Electolux model after going through two Sears Progressive units in three years (even though they were highly rated by Consumer Reports) Their quality and durability was horrible.
This new Electolux is a very nice machine. Only negatives I would identify is that the power carpet sweeper is noiser than most. Also the size of the dust collector bag is quite small & will require more frequent changing.
However unit works great; controls are handy and easy to use. Unit is light and compact, easy to use and attractive. If the carpet power sweeper was quieter, I would give it five stars. You won't go wrong buying this unit.
