Was so excited to purchase my very first vacuum especially after reading all the reviews and growing up with only Electrolux in the house. Great lightweight canister but NOT great with dog hair so need to go bagless. Used only twice and had to use a new bag each time so in no way is it practical. Missed the deadline by one day to return so quite pricey to be stuck with something so disappointing!
As I continue to use this after my intital review, I am more and more disppointed. I have a 2 bedroom 1928 cottage and 1 dog yet unable to vacuum the entire house without changing the bag.......AAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHHH..... VERY VERY FRUSTRATING

Purchased this through Amazon about a month ago. Researched vacuums online and in local stores before making the purchase to replace a very noisy 10 year old Hoover upright. I had owned Electrolux vacuums previously and my family had owned Electrolux vacuums as well...a generational thing.
Love the suction, portabilty and quietness. It's so easy to carry. Cleaning is a charm in tight spaces, under beds and other low furniture.
What's not so great: pricy bags. I'd like all the attachment on board in one place.
Initial operation took some getting used to ... but then, don't all new appliances have a learning curve?

I wanted a strong Vac that is why I choose the canister electrolux. Is very light weight and not very loud. It does seem to shut down while using it. The attachments are ok could be better. While moving around the canister gets stuck on the cord. I wish I had tryed it out in a store first even thou it has so so power it won't pick up the carpet pile very well. I had inhouse Vac for years then moved and new house wasn't plumbed for in house and was forced to buy Vac. I will be buying another Vac but upright this time less worries of pulling a canister behind me I still give it a 3 star but will have to give it a 0 for ease of using around house.Customer Review: NEW MODEL AVAILABLE

My research found reports rating the "A" model below average for noise and handling so I delayed buying. Then I noticed some sites offering a "B" version (EL-7020B). Electrolux said the new version has a new "quiet clean" powerhead and a synthetic anti-odour bag (which is still an S-bag style and is totally interchageable with all other S-bags).
So, whith this in mind, I purchased the new "B" model and can attest the power head is in fact very quiet an will turn both ways improving the handling. More time needed to rate reliability otherwise I would give it 5-stars. Update: Still working flawlessly after 2yrs+. Upgraded to 5 dtars.

I purchased one of these and have been using it for a little over a month. At this point I am totally thrilled with the product for the price. I have owned exectrolux products in the past that were more expensive and a hoover product for about the same price. To say the least I am back to electrolux. I love being able to go under furniture, and being able to disconnect head and use in tight or unusual spots with various attachments. We have a dog and this is a wonderful fur finder! The filtration systems are great for keeping dust and dirt where it belongs once it is sucked up. I'll never stray from electrolux again.
