I have used a Kirby upright for years. I decided to try this machine for a change of pace. I LOVE IT!! It cleans extremely well and is incredibly quiet. I like the size and weight of it, and it is easy to use the accessories on my stairs. The only draw-back is that when using the hand accessories, it is very easy to accidentally shut it off. It would be nice if there was some sort of override button when using the hand accessories. You get used to the canister style quickly and it is nice to be able to vacuum under beds and furniture without a big struggle. I would recommend this machine.Customer Review: Great Little Machine!

Like some here, I have always bought Kenmore vacuums and the reason for that is because my mother always did. The last two Kenmores I bought were great disappointments, so I decided to try the Electrolux. I wish I had done that 20 years ago! This little thing is a powerhouse and being little, it's so easy to store. The parts are easy to pull apart and assemble and I like the handle that serves a dual purpose, transporting and retracting the power cord. Maybe later on I might find it lacking in some area, but right now I'm in "what's not to like?" mode.Customer Review: more than a floor cleaner...

I got this vacuum for my mother a year and a half ago and it is one of her top three ever. It is quiet and powerful and comes with a variety of toys as well as the ability to expand and contract to almost any crevice we need. It is not that heavy and the bags are not hard to find or very expensive and the sbag clinic bags are the best because if you are having hard times with breathing air you can leave the vacuum running or walking around with it over your shoulders for a while and it is more than a vacuum, it is an air cleaner!Customer Review: Really like it

My last vacuum cleaner was an upright and was heavy to lug around etc. This canister vac is much easier to move around, do steps with, and vacuum out vehicles. Has great suction. Bags are small, but not expensive. We returned the first one because we could not turn it off without unplugging. Amazon was very good about replacing it quickly. Unfortunately it was not a problem with the vac, but with our wiring! Don't know about durability as it's only been about 3 months. Everything written in the reviews is true. I wanted to go back to a canister and was looking around at Sears and saw this model clearanced at $231. I was a little nervous buying it because I had done zero research on the product. I've used electrolux in the past and always liked it. I've also used Kirby and Hoover uprights. I am thrilled with the electrolux. It's powerful, lightweight and maneuvers beautifully under beds, around corners and tight spots. For the price I paid, I am beyond excited.
