This inexpensive little headlight is better than the $100-$150 unit you can buy at REI. It has a red mode to preserve night vision, the battery lasts forever, and I actually ran one of mine over on a cement driveway and it wasn't fazed. This would be a good deal at $50 dollars and it's only around $15.Customer Review: This is a great product, and toy.

I purchased one recently, and I love it! It's very light weight since it uses LED bulbs, and is very bright. I bought it for myself, but it turns out the kids love it too. They strap it on and play explorer, and they love the red bulb feature. I'm buying them as gifts for all my nephews.Customer Review: SWITCH FAILS

We bought two of these and both have failed within a year. The on/off/on slider switch fails. Very cheap switch.
We had two of the Ray O Vac ones and the end cap holding the batteries failed on both of those. So I'm shopping for led headlamps for a third time.

We have a new baby. I bought this for hands-free diaper changing and moving around at night. The red LED is easy on sleepy eyes and more than bright enough for the task. We got this for my son to use on Boy Scout outings. The problem is that the light is so bright, it blinds whomever is looking at him. If you're by yourself this is okay but with a group it doesn't work well as you're constantly annoying someone with it's brightness.
