I'll try this again. Typed a long review that didn't quite make it.
I've had this product for 7 days now and am very satisfied so far. But there are 4 very important questions left unanswered and I am a little shocked that they knowingly send this out for human use without giving these important instructions.
1. How do you use it?

4. How much do you use?
Day 1 I put it in my daughters hair by just applying to her wet hair (on scalp) after her bath and leaving it in. well her hair was incredibly stiff as if I put styling product in it. A lot of it. She looked a little dirty all day. For myself, I use it 4-5 days and I have no clue if that's right on target or far off. I shampoo and condition my hair since the bottle says to use on clean hair, then I apply to my scalp (which the only way I know how to do that is to basicaly put all into my hair and just massage in) and leave in for 5 minutes and rinse. My hair afterwards feels a bit odd. One funny thing is that it holds the shape of however I comb it when it's wet. My hair hits my shoulders so it sort of flips outwards. My hair will dry very stiffly like that if I let it. But when all is said and done and I've blown dry my hair and styled it like I like, my hair looks like it would any other day. I've had shedding and also don't know what to do about that. I began the garlic and biotin 4 days ago and it's not doing anything.
I would just love some direction from an experienced user because I am overall pleased and actually looking forward to continued use, um "correct" use of the product. THANKS!!!!!!!

I like this stuff alot. I first found out about it on LongHairCareForum.com. It's a great website, but it costs to join. So... I just read the forums. They have alot of info on them. Anyway, they have a MegaTek Challenge just about every year or so (sometimes there's more than one going on) and these ladies were getting crazy results! I'm talking LLLOOOONNNGGG hair from using this stuff. Well, I bought a bottle and mixed it with "Baby Don't Be Bald" (the one w/ the baby and the bee on it, NOT "Don't Be Bald" - that's a sham!) and WOW! I have 4B natural hair and my hair is now past my shoulders (from slightly above my shoulders) and I have been using it for alittle more than a month now. I use it on my scalp every other day or every two days if I forget and do not wash it out. Note: I take VERY good care of my ends by deep conditioning weekly and cowashing every few days to retain the length. I also try not to put too much pressure on my roots by wearing braidouts (instead of a puff - I loved wearing a puff). I haven't really experienced much shedding (a common side effect), but I think it's because I moisturize so much, there's a balance. The only thing I can think of that's a negative is it can be a bit flaky. Even when I used it without the Baby Don't Be Bald, the next day, I'd sometimes get flakes in my scalp. Depending on how you wear your hair (I'd just slap on a headband to cover the flakes at the front of my head - you can't really see the flakes in the rest), it may not be a problem. My hair was thinning badly and I was getting some bald spots. I had started looking at wigs thinking that was the only thing I could do. I found this product through some blog somewhere where they mentioned that they were getting wonderful results. There is another product on the market similar to it but it was hugely expensive. With nothing to lose, I thought I'd give it a try.
I really didn't "see" much progress until after my second bottle... then it was others who were noticing how my hair was changing. (Nobody knew I was using the stuff - you know, embarrassing.)
A couple of weeks ago, a friend whom I hadn't seen in years complimented my hair saying that it's nice to have such thick hair... still amazes me.
I have my daughter trim my hair now and again. It had been about 6 mos since the last time - she asked me what I had done to my hair because it was much thicker than before.
My hair is long and thick and I don't even think of wigs now. For those of you who haven't seen results, give it some time to work.
I've read the reviews about folks using this for a short time and nothing happens. Well, duh! It doesn't happen overnight! Give it a chance...
I've used this product for quite awhile. After I use a bottle up - I will discontinue for about a month or before using again. Right now it's been about 4 months since I've used the product and my hair still looks great - no major shedding like before.

I have read so many reviews about mega-tek on various hair care forums and have heard tips on mixing it with oil, etc. Well. I got a bad haircut (way shorter than I expected) and have been trying to grow it out. I got the cut in September. It is now January. My hair was growing at a very slow rate. I am african american with 3c hair texture (curly small spiral coils). I have been so desperate to grow my hair and got tired of wearin un-natural weaves and expensive clip in hair extensions. I began taking formula 37 vitamins, phytophanere hair and nail supplement along with using this. My hair has grown 1" in a month so far! I do not mix the mega-tek with oil. I apply to my hair overnight, leave it in and rinse it out the next day. I only co-wash my hair (no shampoo). I then follow up with Sexy hair conditioner (organic daily) to add moisture and elasticity. I blowdry my hair then flatiron it. Wrap it down for a while and my hair is shiny, strong and silky! It is so strong that I have absolutely no shedding or breakage. I tried to pull one of my hairs apart and I couldn't. Normally my hair sheds and breaks all over my clothes and around my sink! My hair is now in a chin length bob and I am hoping for shoulder length hair by April 2011! My hair has never looked this good, ever! *First check with a doctor to see if you have a health condition that causes your hair loss. I'm a 54 year young female and have complained to 2 different hair stylists over the past 12 years that a lot of hair falls out after each shampoo in my brush. I had a thyroid test etc. all is fine. I thought I was going to have to cut my hair because I like to wear it in a long braid, which without a clip in hair piece is as thick as my thumb. (not a good look)
Now I have almost no fall out in my brush after shampoos for the first time in many years.
I have done the following;
1."Wen" tea tree shampoo, has no lather. By it's self Wen did not stop hair loss but put my long color treated hair in beautiful condition.
2.Mega-Tek rebuilder as leave in conditioner. I slightly rinse the hair with a large ice tea size cup of water over my head leaving most of the mega-tek in my roots.
3.I drink one carton of Muscle Milk Light 8.25 oz. 150 cal.(choc. shake in blender with ice) everyday.
Note: It wasn't until I had been leaving the Mega-Tek in my hair roots (only slightly rinsing) and drinking these vit. and protein good tasting choc. shakes for 2 months that my hair stopped falling out. It's a routine that I will maintain! Give it 2 or 3 months an see if it works for your fall out. I don't know about regrowth?
