The candles do work well and look believable, especially in a frosted vessel. I have been using them in a lantern, so the size has not been a problem, but, as a previous reviewer stated, the diameter is larger than standard, so they do not fit in most votive holders. That is why 3 stars as I purchased them originally to use as votives.Customer Review: Decent quality, but oddly sized.
