The cartridge works fine and lasts about a year with considerable usage. Coffee pots last indefinitely with this clean water. I found the cartridges difficult to replace because I am an unhandy man. However, after 14 years, I cannot remove the cartridge even with belt wrenches. Any suggestions? email me at borance@verizon.net.Customer Review: Total rip-off, and defective

Bought this filter march 2011 as a replacement for our under-sink water filtration system. What a dud! The supposedly filtered water was GRAY and tasted foul - like old metal. I returned the filter immediately. Turns out this filter was dated "2008", and they are supposedly only good for one year. So - do the math. Never again.Customer Review: Everpure H-300

A very satisfactory filter, both easy to install and remove when worn out to replace. I am on my fifth cartridge and this filter has great longevity, I've had filters last a year with not much change in taste. I recommend this filter for taste, ease of use and length of service. This is our fourth H-300 Filter Cartridge in 11 years. It installs easily into its housing that connects to a water dispenser spout at the kitchen sink. We drink
a lot of water and the taste is better than anything out of a bottle. Less expensive, too!
