The Everpure replacement cartridge works quite well. It just takes a few tries to install. The critical point is seating the cartridge so that the locking mechanism on the cartridge holder is engaged. Otherwise water will leak. I've been using this product for 15 years. It's been satisfactory all these years. However, I've found out the last one i purchased from Amazon has a minor leak. I really like my everpure filter system. Water tastes great, not too chlorine-ish, and I know it's clean. Considered a reverse-osmosis tank type system, but this filter does a great job and doesn't produce any waste water. Although these cartridges are expensive, they actually last far longer than recommended. With a family of two adults, our cartridge lasts about 2.5 to 3 years. I have had this system in other homes I have lived inn and will continue to install one when we move again.
