Tools and Hardware Reviews of Factory Reconditioned Expand-It ZR15518 Edger Attachment For String TrimmersCustomer Review: Edger Review Summary: 4 Stars
The product arrived and appeared to be new rather than reconditioned. I am happy with the purchase and think the product works really well. I edge approximately 200' of lawn and the product is fit for the task. Easy to attach and remove and only one engine to fuel-up makes my workshop a lot tidier. I also have the blower attachment and the hedge trimmer attachment.
Customer Review: Very Pleased Summary: 4 Stars
I am very pleased with the product.
I can tell it is not new, it still had a bit of dirt on it in the cracks. I could tell the the blade was brand new, though. I wonder if that's why it was sent back, busted blade.
Anyway, works great. Only reason no five stars is because it could have been cleaned better before shipping.
Thanks,
Customer Review: Worked for about two months... Summary: 1 Stars
My guess is there is a reason you see these all over the internet reconditioned and not new. There seems to be a design flaw with the way the cable attaches to the gear to turn the edger blade and after a couple of months won't stay in anymore. Goes to the old adage buy a good tool and cry once...buy a cheap tool like this and cry over and over.
Customer Review: do not buy this junk Summary: 1 Stars
This edger is horrible I would take a manual hand edger over this tool any day. It never worked correctly with my Ryobi tool and I gave it many chances. It always clogs and the blade gets easily bogged down. Spend your money on a tool that will get the job done right. I have many attachments for my Ryobi edger and this one is the worst.
Customer Review: Haven't been able to use. Summary: 1 Stars
Item arrived with a bent curb guide. Called and they sent a free replacement. By that time, the head unit had failed and I have to used the edger.
I have purchased several Ryobi products over the years but probably never will again. I ordered 4 items and after the first use, three had to be taken in for warranty repairs.
