Draw knives are so expensive, but not this one. This arrived razor sharp. Looks like the cutting edge is chrome plated. The flexible nature allows it to contour to logs to round the cut. The handles look like soft wood but they seem to be installed tightly. I'm hopeful that they hold up for a long time. All I need is a tool to remove bark so I can make poles and posts. Only a five inch blade but it will do it at a reasonable price.
Description of KN16 - Flexcut KN16 5" Draw Knife with sheath
Our flexible draw knife has 5 inches of workable edge, designed to flex around contours where large amounts of stock need to be removed quickly. The tool can be flexed to accommodate concave or convex surfaces.
Cuts can be made that conform more closely to the finished shape, taking less time to sand or scrape. The curved edge gives a skew-like cutting action for a low resistance cut. This tool works great for carving chair legs, hollowing chair bottoms or quickly roughing-out decoys.
