Tools and Hardware Reviews of Farm Innovators TC-3 Cold Weather Thermo Cube Thermostatically Controlled Outlet - On at 35-Degrees/Off at 45-DegreesCustomer Review: Great for heat lamp for greenhouse Summary: 5 Stars
This is an electric plug that you plug into the wall, then plug your item into it. The power will come on at 35 degrees and turn off at 45 degrees.
It worked so well to turn on the heat lamps in my greenhouse, that I plan to order another for the heater in my pond, to protect my goldfish.
This item is particularly great when the temperature is fluctuating a lot, as it does here in San Antonio in winter time. Set it up once, and there is no power wasted when the day gets warm, yet it still comes on when the temp dips suddenly, at night or in the daytime, even when I forget to check it!
Wish I had had one of these years ago!
Customer Review: Works As Advertised and We're Happy With the Purchase Summary: 4 Stars
This little gadget took care of our needs, which was to keep the pipes in our well pump house from freezing. We plugged a little box space heater into it and it comes on as-needed. You can read the details here: [...].com/the-thermo-cube-keeping-the-well-pump-house-from-freezing/ . But to sum up our experience, the unit seems to be turning on and off at the appropriate temperatures and we've had it going for several weeks now with no problems.
I would have given it five stars if there was a way to adjust the temp range, but for $10 what can you expect? It works and we're happy with the purchase.
Customer Review: Performs as expected Summary: 5 Stars
I purchased this item to maintain temperature in an outside insulated shed above freezing without providing too much added heat. I works quite well at performing this task. I have an IR heat lamp plugged into one of its two sockets. I also have a min/max thermometer next to the cube and so I can verify that generally, it maintains the temp between 35 and 45 F. Although on particularly cold nights (I'm talking cold New England nights when the temps can dip down to the single digits), the heat lamp has trouble bringing the temp up to 45 F.
Customer Review: Thermo Cube Revue Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great product.
Unfortunately it is not marketed properly.
It took forever to find someone that sells these.
These sould be sold at pet outlets and farm supply stores.
Agway did sell a version of this when they were in business.
We use about 10 of these on our farm.
Chickens, P Fowl, Goats, Horses, Brooder room, etc.
Above are some of our applications.
These are excellent for farm use.
Great product!

Customer Review: possible junk Summary: 1 Stars
I purchased 1 of the thermocubes in dec to help comtrol the heater in my dogs houses. The first cube that I received triped the GFI every time I plugged it in , I emailed amazon and they promptly sent another. I plugged it in and everything looked good but by then it had warmed up so it wouldn't trip on, so I waited. When it got cold enough (25 degrees, supposed to come on at 35 ) I checked again and it was turning the heater ,65 watts, on and off continously so I pulled it and threw it away. Lesson learned. Great idea just didn't work.
