I am really pleased with the bench. It is solid as a rock. I thought the instructions were actually pretty simple to understand. I made mine 8'x3'. That way I didn't have to cut the long 2x4's to length. The plastic legs will flex a little to make up for slight twisting and warping in the boards. I had no problem with the screws and I didn't predrill anything. No problems. It is nice when somethign actually works as advertised. It took about an hour to build and cost me about $110 for the kit and the lumber. And anyone who was angry becasue it didn't come with lumber is an idiot.Customer Review: Easy workbench

I purchased this product partly because of the reviews. This product is a good buy. I am about half way through with it and already can tell this is going to be a good deal. I would say that if you are not great at following pictures, then this product may be a bit confusing. Would it be too difficult for them to EXPLAIN IN ENGLISH what the pictures are trying to say? Otherwise, it is a puzzle that is fun to try and put together. I will also say that you cannot put the frame work completely together and expect the lower shelf to slide in! Also be sure and measure twice and cut once. The width and length of your unit must include the plastic legs and the two by fours for the bench to fit in the exact space you need. I am building the unit without the center shelf, as I needed more room on the bottom, plus it will give me a place to put my feet when I sit on a stool and work at the bench. There are no nails involved, only the screws that toe nail into the two by fours- you just need a good battery operated drill and you are set. I won't use the cheapo plastic vise that comes with the unit. I plan to buy a real vise! I plan to post a picture of my completed bench when I finish it. I have spent about $98.00 including a saw blade for materials to go with the kit to assemble the bench. I will spend a bit more for paint and I will be done. Can't get much more simple than this kit for making a good workbench. All you do is provide the 2x4's for all the horizontal supports and plywood for the shelves and either plywood or plywood/particle board combo for the top. Size of the table is really up to you and how big you want it to be. The kit only supplies the legs and vertical supports and fasteners. Customer Review: Great Workbench!

I am a 53 year old woman that enjoys working on small wood projects. Thought it would be good to have a real workbench. I had researched and found several plans to build one from scratch. Then came across this one on Amazon. It looked simple enough to put together and the reviews were good. My concern was the stability of the workbench.
I assembled the workbench by myself with no problems at all. It was much easier than I imagined. The workbench is very stronge, sturdy and looks great. I am very happy with it.
After assembling the first one, I ordered another one as I needed a cutting table for my sewing room and thought this would be perfect. I spent more time assembling the second one as I had to sand the wood and stain it. I then painted the legs an off white color because I didn't want it to look like a garage workbench. I then purchased lined baskets to go on the second and third shelves to hold my sewing accessories such as scissors, threads, etc. The result: It is beautiful! I have had so many compliments on it.
I highly recommend the purchase of this item. It just doesn't get any better than this.
