Tools and Hardware Reviews of Freud LU84M011 10-Inch 50 Tooth ATB Combination Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor

Customer Review: Beautiful, clean cuts
Summary: 5 Stars

I have this blade installed on my Delta contractor saw and am completely happy with it. I have cut through many different types of woods, and have found that it provides a very smooth cut. Even in maple, which is notorious for burning, this blade left very little marks on it. Provided your technique is good, I have also found it to very rarely "blow-out" the back ends of boards on crosscuts. Most recently, I cut through 3" hard maple to make 1/8" planks. There were no burns, and the saw didn't have to work too hard for the results. Overall, this is a great blade. Provided your saw is calibrated properly, you will get fantastic results.

Customer Review: Great cut, doesn't dull easily
Summary: 5 Stars

I bought this blade in May of 2001 and have built several furniture projects with it. I like hard maple, and this blade has done a fantastic job regardless of whether I'm crosscutting or ripping. I keep waiting for the blade to get dull, but last week I made a picture frame out of cherry, and the miter cuts still came out very smooth. I thought of buying a separate rip blade and crosscut blade, but I really don't see a need with this combination blade.

Customer Review: Smooth, excellent cuts
Summary: 5 Stars

I just put this blade on my Delta table saw. My old Delta blade (exact same design as this Freud) was 15 years old and in bad shape, so I can't really compare the two. But this blade cuts very smooth, and even takes pretty good care of oak plywood.

This blade was a little bit more than the equivalent Delta. I picked this because of all the other positive reviews of Freud blades, the teflon coating, and the laser cut. It's a pleasure to use.

Customer Review: AWESOME BLADE
Summary: 5 Stars

I HAVE BEEN USING THIS BLADE FOR ABOUT 2 YRS WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS. I RIP HARDWOOD WITH THE GREATEST OF EASE AND ALSO LEAVES THE EDGE SMOOTH WHICH IS GREAT FOR GLUING UP PANELS.

Customer Review: don't cut warped wood in a table saw
Summary: 4 Stars

I don't own this particular blade yet, so my rating is based on the Freud products that I've been using for years. However, I feel obligated to make a couple of points: 1) It is almost always dangerous to feed warped wood into a table saw, and frequently dangerous to do the same with knotty wood. 2) ignorance IS NOT necessarily bliss.
