Customer Review: Disappointing

Bought this unit for a 208 sq. ft bedroom with 7' ceiling for night time use. Followed HVAC Industry sizing guidelines. It's very noisy, even @ lowest setting. Advertised as a 5500 BTU unit but labeled 5450 BTU's on US Gov.'s Energy Guide attached to unit. Power cord only exits unit on left, though it can be hung under unit to the right. Cord not adjustable to exit unit on either side as Friedrich literature would have you believe. Installation Manual has errors. Friedrich cust. reps. refused to acknowledge this, were unable to visualize errors & not helpful. Unit needs 14" window height to install, though is advertised as 12 & 1/4" H.
Om positive side, unit did cool, is unobtrusive & got us through the dog days of summer. Have owned unit for three months.
