A/C is just "OK". Doesn't wow me. I was thinking 12,000 BTU's would be more powerful but my 6500 BTU A/C was almost comperable in cooling the same space. However, the price was right and the size is great! A/C's of 10K BTU or higher used to require in wall mounting or a really wide window. This A/C has more height than width which allows it to fit in any window. 3 Stars for middle of the road A/C. Worth the buy but don't expect a meat locker.Customer Review: Frigidaire FAC124P1A

We are cooling about 600 sq.ft with this unit, and it does it very well. The packaging of this unit is downright ingenious! Very easy to open, not a ton of card board to recycle ands easy to remove. The unit is light enough for a 60 year old guy with a sore back to lift. Other reviewers have written about how noisy this is, and I found they had not exaggerated! I am cool!!!!! after a week of being way too hot, need I say more? My husband says that it was easy to install, he loves the remote ( what guy wouldn't). I think it is a little louder than our last one, but I think it cools better. What we really liked and appreciated was the excellent shipping service we received. 1. Unit arrived a week earlier than expected--great for prepping.
2. Unit received by apartment security which did not see front lower right corner damage--resulted in cracked upper right front bezel--I'll take care of this later.
3. All components neatly packaged.
4. Installation instructions short and clear.
5. Too early to tell about use yet--summer is coming and now I'm ready

i had to wait an extra amount of time on this ac because it was being shipped from a private dealer. when ac was inserted into window, the noise resembled a lawn mower. upon examination, the ac had dents and scratches all over it. ac was definatly not in working condition and i had to return to Amazon and replaced it with a different brand.
