Tools and Hardware Reviews of Fuji 3004 Q4 PRO Quiet 4-Stage HVLP Spray System

Customer Review: Tech Support
Summary: 5 Stars

Today, when some companies charge by the minute to talk to an agent who may be located in a foreign land, I find it refreshing and wonderful to be able to communicate directly with the CEO of the company free of charge.

When I employed the screen strainer on the feed tube of the Fuji spray gun no paint would emit from the nozzle. I had to switch to a nylon bag strainer on the feed pipe. I pointed out my minor problem to Fuji Spray in a weekend e-mail and heard from CEO Paul Smith in just hours. He promptly sent me replacement parts via expedited shipment at no charge. The parts cured the problem so I could use the screen strainers. That was a class act in my book.

My first HVLP system came with a bleeder spray gun. The Q4 comes with a non-bleeder gun and I find that such a gun suits me better than a bleeder gun. I worry less about kicking up dust or other foreign matter.

Customer Review: Great first HVLP unit
Summary: 5 Stars

I have owned this unit for over a year now and love it. I wanted a convenient and portable spray system to use in my garage and as well in customers homes. There was a learning period going from compressed air we use at my work to this system but through trial and error (and learning to spray light build coats) I feel I get just as good a finish as the shop. I purchased the smaller needle and cap set and use that to shade with and to spray water based lacquer. The industrial garden hose takes getting used to but I bought the 6' whip hose and find it to be very handy. This is an excellent HVLP system, the gun is very easy to clean and only had to change my gaskets and bleeder hose once. I would recommend getting as much information on the particular product you will be spraying either by website of web forums, and perform sample tests with every new product.

Customer Review: Great product, excellent service
Summary: 5 Stars

I spent a lot of time researching types of sprayers and manufacturers prior to purchasing the Q4. Reading these online reviews coupled with the discounts swayed me to purchasing this unit through Amazon.

I must say... this was a great decision. The sprayer is simple to use and has great results. Even better than that, the after purchase support was excellent. Based on the online reviews, I purchased the 6 foot flex hose and made the mistake of attaching it directly to the turbine. The turbine runs hot and the hose malfunctioned. I emailed the manufacturer at 5:00PM EST on Saturday and had an email resonse within two hours.

I have outfitted my entire shop through Amazon over the last 5 years and this is the best support I have ever received.

I recommned the product and the company.

Customer Review: Fuji hvlp impresses
Summary: 4 Stars

I recently purchased the Fuji 4 stage HVLP spray system after shopping many different systems. I was initially suspect of likely quality and performance because of the comparatively modest price of the system. As I researched the system I found consistently good reviews all over the internet. I purchased the system about a month ago and have been very pleased. I have sprayed dye stains/shellac and water based poly finishes so far with top results.

A note about service; in my initial order, a component piece, a valve, was missing from the order. I called Fuji, and they shipped the part that day overnight mail. I received it the next day. I am a satisfied customer

Customer Review: Poor quality finish
Summary: 2 Stars

I bought this item about two years ago hoping it would spray lacquers. The finish quality was poor with the standard tip that came with the gun. I called the company and they called me back telling me I should thin the lacquer by 25%. I have used other spray guns (all with a compressor)and never had to thin the product I am using (at least not by as much as 25%). I have played with the controls and various amounts of thinner and have finally given up. It now sits in the corner of my shop as an expensive lesson - don't buy a tool unless you know someone who personally recommends it. I gave it two stars because the company called me back.
