The LED has sufficient light and is focused on the magnification area(s). Press on/off switch lightly and light goes off when you release. Press firmly to turn on/off as a switch. The switch is positioned so it will not get turned on easily by accident, yet is easy to use.
Magnification is good quality, though it would be nicer if it were rectangular for reading menus. The circular magnifier is impressive for examining slivers or a contact lens.
The package contained 2, each with a black vinyl case which protects the lens and switch while adding little to the size or weight.
I'm impressed with the quality of this product for the small cost.

This is a great little magnifier with plenty of magnification for most applications. Getting them in a 2-pack is a good idea too because I always seem to misplace one of them, now I have a backup.
The higher power spot on them is very useful when you really need to make things larger.
The ease of battery replacement is wonderful too, most lighted magnifiers like this have very cheaply designed battery compartments but these are great.
All in all this is a very good magnifier.

While searching for a magnifying glass I stumbled upon these card magnifiers and I decided to take a chance. I'm so glad that I did. I agree with the other reviews, and I have to say I'm impressed by how sturdy they are, as well as the fact that they each come with a protective sleeve. I love that there are two in the pack - one for my purse and one for my nightstand. Very bright, very handy. In fact, I've even had strangers ask me where they could get one... that's how cool they are.Customer Review: Very pleased with this purchase

I decided on this magnifier after reading the reviews and I'm very happy with it. The magnifications is crystal clear. The light disperses really well and for the money it's a terrific value, especially since you get two. Includes a handy case and fits comfortably in any shirt pocket. The ONLY drawback is that I would like it to be a little larger but honestly, that's not too big of a deal considering all the other attributes.

this is a great product IF YOU REMEMBER TO TAKE IT WITH YOU.
you can not beat it for reading restaurant menus in the dim light
that most restaurants have these days. the rest of the customers
must have 20/20 eyesight and be able to see in the dark.
everyone over 70 should have one, i do.
