I had high hopes for this key safe when it arrived. Fortunately I did not install it before trying it out. After attempting to set a new combination the safe would not open. I tried repeatedly, carefully following the directions... but no luck. Back it went. My new Master safe lock is great! And Mater's rotating combination mechanism works a lot better than the GE's push buttons.Customer Review: Up a creek without a key!

This product has saved me many hours of agravation, by having a secure spare key available when I needed it. I use the KeySafe at our cabin which is 55 miles from home. There have been a number of times that I have either arrived without a key, or inadvertantly locked myself out while at the cabin. With just a few key presses I am back to my expected routine. this isn't a very secure product. there are only 210 possible combinations, which take about 45 minutes to run through. you'll often find the combination in about 25 minutes. 5040 possible codes, of which 24 are the same (4567 is the same as 7654, 7546, 4675, etc.) = 5040/24 = 210. a simple VB program can list all the combos.
keep this lockbox out of sight.

I bought this for my parents. I mounted this on the outside of their house in case the fire department ever needs to access their home due to illness. It is made of heavy metal and is easily mounted to wood or block walls with screws.
This particular product holds 2 keys, making it useful for latchkey children or anyone that may have lost their key.

Easy to install, program and use. Came in handy when locked door blew shut, just entered code and got key. I would recommend using this product rather than make multiple keys for different people. Easier to change code in key safe than door locks. Installed for elderly who use LifeLine emergency services (bettter than "hiding" a key or making copies of keys.)
