The bulbs arrived on time and in mint condition as described. If you are looking for CFL light-bulbs to save energy costs these are the perfect bulbs to buy. They are three way. On a side note, they may not work with older lamps! I have older lamps in my house, and the older lamps are not compatible with these CFL lightbulbs. CFL lightbulbs are a new technology, so keep this in mind if you are planning to buy CFL lightbulbs for older lamps. You may have to buy new lamps that work with CFL's.
Solid CFL lightbulbs overall. The light is pleasant.
Customer Review: Larger than a standard incandescent bulb

Just want folks to be aware that these measure approximately 6.5" in length, or about an inch longer than a typical-sized incandescent bulb (like 60 or 100 W variety). I was interested in getting one of these to replace the 50/100/150 W incandescent bulb in my living room lamp (the tall, free-standing kind), but found it to be too long as it comes out of the top by about an inch. For now I am waiting for a company to come out with a CFL 50/100/150 equivalent that matches up in size better.Customer Review: Great Light. Way too large.

I really like the natural light you get from these bulbs. I hate the fact that they are so large they don't fit in my lamps. I hesitate to buy a larger harp because that would probably mean that I would have to invest in longer shades. By that time I would have spent the money I saved in energy costs. I was able to use one bulb in my Torch lamp, but disappointed I couldn't use them in my other reading lamps. GE, please make a smaller 3-way that fits in the lamps. I ordered this bulb after reading serenity-now's review thinking it would still work for me. Unfortunately, (s)he is correct and these bulbs are too tall for my standing lamp. There is a very noticeable portion of the bulb that sticks well above the lamp. I'll continue using the bulb but those purchasing should be aware.
The color temperature and quality of the bulb are good regardless of the unusual length.

I bought 2 of these to replace the 50/100/150 Watt incandescent bulbs in my living room. A standard A21 50/100/150 Watt bulb is only 5" long. These are 6.3"; much too long to fit in a standard lamp harp. I bought longer harps but then my expensive leather shades are too short. I'm going to return these and wait until someone makes a 3-way CFL that's ready for prime time.
