We bought this product after buying a new vehicle. Our car was larger than the last one and when the kids quickly opened the door it often hit the stone beam of our car port. This product has helped the driver move up just far enough for both doors to open without a major paint scraping. The only down side is making sure we are far enough to the left so our right doors don't hit and still leaving room for the right side to be far enough away for foot traffic. That would be a perfect world! Great product for what it is designed to do.Customer Review: Lasted 19 months, then it died.

I bought this item on 1/3/09. As of 8/15/10, it no longer works. Fresh batteries did not do the trick; the device is dead. :(
Sad. Everything we buy is made in China. But, we hold China manufacturing to such low standards. And, American corporations don't want to take any responsibility, either. They won't stand behind their products.
There's no reason a device like this should die so quickly. It should last 5, maybe 10 years. How can it break down? There is no moving parts.
Sad. Junk. Don't buy it. :(

I just spent the last two hours trying to get this product to work with no success. I installed it per the manufacturer's instructions and it will not recognize my vehicle no matter how I configure the transmitter. I've tried every conceivable trick and can not get the LED to light up at all. The batteries are fresh and have been tested with a voltmeter and are installed correctly. This is used as a backup alarm for a truck backing into a garage.
Like- It works as described, easy to install, helps provide precision backing.
Not so much- needs batteries, would like a batteryless version. If sunlight is coming into the garage, it is difficult to see the light. I would like a horn that beeps when approaching that beeps faster till solid beep when in place.
Overall- It performs really good

I really like the product since now it prevents me from hitting the wall. I placed it right were its visible to me. Some of my dislikes are you can't use the Velcro in a garage. Where I live its humid so it just doesn't stay on the wall. I had to mount it on the wall using the screws that were given to me. I also found that right after installing it, the battery was already low. Overall, it serves its purpose.
