Our Golden Retriever sleeps next to our bed at night. One night, recently, I got up to go to the bathroom and I tripped on the sleeping dog.
It was pitch-dark and I didn't see her. Fortunately, I put my hand out and I caught myself on the wall.
Sooner or later I was going to kill myself, or my dog, or both of us!
So, I bought one of these motion-activted night lights.
It is really, really great. It stays off at night, but the slightest motion turns it on - and then it goes off again by itself.
I wish that everything worked as well as this night light.

I have got 4 of them and installed to different rooms and garage of the house yesterday, overall i would say these are average motion sensing night lights not didn't fully met my requirements.
I like:
- compact design
- white light
I don't like:
- not bright enough
- motion sensor is not sensitive (deal breaker for me)
Turns our the old motion sensing light i have been using for few years is actually performing better, especially got much better sensor.
Overall, this light works but do not expect too much from them.

This is a great light; perfect for stairs when you put them right at the top and it detects movement as soon as you start climbing from the bottom. Detects horizontal motion upto 15 feet away. Its light sensor works great too. The only thing I hate about this light which is more of a design issue is that it throws light at your eyes and not on the ground where you need it. I tried flipping the light over to set the detector on the top and the light below but that affected the triggering of the motion detector and it wouldn't turn on when I climbed up the stairs. Otherwise, a wonderful light!Customer Review: The best purchase ever !!!

This is the exact item I have waited for. My bathroom does not have a window, so I have to turn on lights every time I enter. At night, sometimes, it's not so desirable to turn lights on while I'm in the mood of sleeping. After I bought this, I do not need to turn lights on at night time. Because this product detects me, I just enter the room and do things and just exit. No need to spend time to find light switches. My wife was skeptical at first. She said it was too pricey. But, now, she does not have any complaint about this product.
I'd like to buy one more for another room.

This nightlight is not perfect, but it is a decent option from a limited selection in this category. The sensing range of motion is not as wide as I would like, especially if you have a sideways (=) outlet instead of vertical (||). The time-out is 90 seconds after it stops sensing motion, and it will not switch on when there is sufficient light. It does not turn off automatically when it gets bright though. This means when I get up in the morning and walk into the bathroom and it turns on, it stays on the whole time I get ready despite having switched on the overhead lights.
