Customer Review: Horizontal or Upright Socket makes a difference

Great item. Only draw back is that upright is the best position. I needed this as a hallway light. The light socket on the hallway is position like this (==) so when I plug this light in, it's horizontal (not upright like the picture). The problem with this is that when it is horizontal, it can only detect motion from 1 direction as opposed to both directions if the light was upright (the round ball is motion detector). This motion sensor night light does the job. It can detect motion from far away and puts out a nice amount of light for those late night trips to the bathroom or fridge. It turns off automatically after 60 seconds.Customer Review: Very Sensitive
