Customer Review: Should be labeled "BRIGHTERABLE"

Bought this expensive bulb because it is dimmable. Put it in a fixture in tandem with an incandescent and results were not good. When the incandescent was dimmed nearly to the max, this bulb would blink brightly. It went;flash brightly...off a second...flashbrightly...off a second....etc., etc. This may have been fun back in The Sixties but nowadays I am too jaded for those kinda cheap thrills.
Tried it in a solo fixture next and it adjusted from very bright to a little less bright, but it did not have a mode that could be called dim by any stretch of the imagination. This light bulb can be adjusted from bright to brighter. It should be labeled "Brighterable". I'm returning it to the store tomorrow. $18 is too much for a product with such a limited dynamic range.
